The report was received as a time-late notification, with incident details linked to approximately 2053 UTC on 29 August. UKMTO said the information was sourced from military authorities.
The vessel’s identity, flag, ownership, exact extent of damage and any attribution for the incident were not publicly detailed in the initial UKMTO warning.
No casualties have been reported, and there was no environmental impact reported at the time of the warning. Authorities are investigating the incident.
