Nova Marine Carriers Enters New Amsterdam Port Partnership with Bolten and Ership
Nova Marine Carriers, in partnership with Germany’s Aug. Bolten and Spain-based Ership Group, has finalized the acquisition of 100% ownership of VCK Port Logistics along with its port infrastructure at the Port of Amsterdam. The deal was completed through the Dutch subsidiary Maja Stuwadoorsgroep B.V., strengthening the consortium’s operational footprint in one of Europe’s key maritime hubs.
The acquisition covers the Waterland Terminal, the only terminal in Europe designed to operate 24/7 under covered conditions. The facility features a distinctive “one roof all-weather” concept and includes dehumidified warehouses, making it highly suitable for handling steel, breakbulk, and dry bulk cargo in all weather conditions.
VCK Port Logistics, with a history spanning more than a century, is widely regarded as a reputable and experienced logistics operator. To ensure seamless operations, the existing management team will continue overseeing day-to-day activities, providing continuity for customers and employees.
The transaction supports Nova Marine Carriers’ vertical integration strategy by extending control across the supply chain and reinforcing investments in modern, efficient, and technologically advanced port infrastructure.
The move follows the Nova–Bolten–Ership partnership’s earlier acquisition of the Vlothaven bulk terminal in Amsterdam in February 2025. With both terminals now operating under Maja Stuwadoorsgroep B.V., the group is consolidating its position in the European port logistics sector and expanding its long-term presence in the Port of Amsterdam.
