L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore Secures $1.75 Billion ADNOC Offshore Contract for Major Offshore Development

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore), a business of Larsen & Toubro, has secured an Ultra-Mega Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning (EPCIC) contract valued at more than INR 15,000 crore (approximately USD 1.75 billion) from ADNOC Offshore for the development of major offshore oil and gas infrastructure in the Middle East. The contract will be executed through a consortium structure, with LTEH Offshore serving as the lead consortium partner and undertaking a significant portion of the project scope.

Under the agreement, LTEH Offshore will carry out the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of multiple offshore facilities, along with the upgrading and modernization of existing offshore assets. The project includes extensive fabrication activities, with a major share of fabrication work planned at L&T’s advanced offshore fabrication facilities before deployment for marine installation activities.

The project strengthens the role of advanced offshore EPC contractors in supporting the expansion and reliability of global energy infrastructure. Large offshore developments require integrated capabilities covering engineering design, heavy fabrication, offshore transportation, installation, subsea operations, brownfield modification and commissioning. Such projects also create demand across the maritime supply chain, including offshore support vessels, marine logistics services and specialized offshore construction equipment.

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore will utilize its integrated EPCIC capabilities, in-house engineering expertise, fabrication infrastructure and marine assets to execute the complex offshore development. The company has experience delivering fixed offshore platforms, subsea pipelines and structures, offshore modifications, and decommissioning projects across international markets.

The contract further reinforces L&T’s growing presence in the Middle East offshore oil and gas sector, where energy companies are investing in infrastructure expansion, production enhancement and modernization of existing offshore facilities. The region remains a key hub for offshore engineering projects due to its large hydrocarbon reserves and continued focus on maintaining long-term energy supply capacity.
