Supply Boat Sinks after Collision near Pasir Panjang Terminal; Search and Rescue Operations Underway
A supply boat sank off Pasir Panjang Terminal on the morning of June 12, 2026, at approximately 9:30 a.m. following a collision with a landing craft, according to authorities.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the Police Coast Guard (PCG), and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) Marine Division immediately deployed response vessels to the scene and commenced search and rescue operations.
Authorities confirmed that the landing craft involved in the collision remains stable, with no injuries reported among its crew members.
As part of the ongoing rescue efforts, the Police Coast Guard recovered three bodies from the water. The deceased are believed to be crew members of the sunken supply boat. Search and rescue operations, including diving activities, are continuing to determine whether additional crew members from the vessel remain missing.
The MPA stated that port operations at Pasir Panjang Terminal have not been affected by the incident. Navigational broadcasts have been issued, advising vessels to keep clear of the area while emergency response and recovery operations continue.
Investigations into the cause of the maritime collision and the sinking of the supply boat are ongoing.
