Pakistan Navy Launches SEASPARK-2026 in Karachi to Boost Maritime Security and Multi-Domain Readiness
The Pakistan Navy has commenced its major maritime exercise SEASPARK-2026 in Karachi, focusing on maritime security, naval combat readiness and multi-domain operations amid an evolving security environment. The exercise rigorously tests the Navy’s ability to respond to conventional and emerging maritime threats.
The Naval Chief presided over the opening brief of the exercise, flanked by senior officers from across Pakistan’s Armed Forces. SEASPARK-2026 integrates ships, submarines, aircraft, unmanned systems, Marines and Special Forces, along with joint elements of the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force.
Pakistan Navy Reviews Fleet Operations and Operational Readiness
Earlier, the Chief of the Naval Staff visited Pakistan Navy Fleet units and reviewed ongoing operations.
Addressing officers and men, he stressed that the evolving security environment demands uncompromising readiness, enhanced tri-service integration, adaptability and effectiveness across physical and information domains.
The participation of submarines and other naval platforms demonstrates the broad range of capabilities being exercised, including underwater capabilities within the wider maritime operational environment.
SEASPARK-2026 Rehearses Multi-Domain Operations
A key focus of Exercise SEASPARK-2026 is the rehearsal of Multi-Domain Operations through the integration of maritime, air, land, cyber and space-enabled capabilities.
The exercise also incorporates Operations in the Information Environment, reflecting the role of information capabilities in modern military operations. These activities are designed to secure a decisive advantage in the information battlespace, working in lockstep with kinetic operations at sea.
Pakistan Navy Integrates Maritime and Information Capabilities
The exercise brings together multiple elements of Pakistan’s Armed Forces to rehearse coordinated operations against a range of conventional and emerging threats. Its integration of naval platforms, air assets, unmanned systems, Marines, Special Forces and joint Army and Air Force elements supports the exercise’s broader multi-domain approach.
The emphasis on readiness, interoperability and adaptability comes as the security environment becomes increasingly complex, requiring military forces to operate effectively across both physical and information domains.
