
PSA International Surpasses 105 Million TEUs in 2025, Setting New Global Container Throughput Record
Global port operator PSA International has achieved a historic milestone by handling a record 105 million Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) across its worldwide network of ports and terminals during the financial year ending 31 December 2025, reinforcing its position as one of the world’s leading container terminal operators and a key driver of global maritime trade.
The company reported a 5% year-on-year increase in total container throughput, surpassing the previous record set in 2024 when it became the first time in its history to exceed 100 million TEUs in annual container handling. The latest performance highlights continued growth in international container shipping despite a challenging global business environment.

PSA’s flagship Singapore container terminal delivered its strongest performance to date, handling 44.5 million TEUs, an increase of more than 8% compared with the previous year. Meanwhile, PSA’s international terminals outside Singapore collectively processed 60.4 million TEUs, reflecting a 2% year-on-year increase and contributing significantly to the Group’s overall expansion in global port operations.
The Board of Directors of PSA International expressed its appreciation to the company’s management, employees and unions for their dedication and operational excellence. The Board also acknowledged customers, business partners and stakeholders for their continued trust and long-standing collaboration, which helped support another record-breaking year for the global terminal operator.
Commenting on the achievement, Peter Voser, Group Chairman of PSA International, said the company successfully navigated another year marked by geopolitical uncertainty, shifting trade dynamics, rapid technological change and climate-related challenges.
“In 2025, the global economy continued to face persistent geopolitical volatility, trade pressures, technological disruptions and climate shifts. Navigating these complexities, the Group delivered a commendable record container throughput, made possible through strong collaboration with our customers, partners, and associates.”
He added that as globalization continues to evolve, PSA remains focused on adapting to changing market conditions while strengthening its integrated portfolio of ports, supply chain solutions, marine services and digital capabilities to create greater value for customers and facilitate global trade.
